Say not the brambles are so cruel—
at last the phoenix pair will roost there;
for now you ought to wait a while—
what need to hesitate so soon?
Interpretation
Though there are obstacles, in the end the phoenix pair will sing together. For other matters too, good things come through much grinding, but you'll get your wish at last.
