Slanderous words—
do not argue or reckon with them;
in the end,
the count is already fixed;
this drudging, drifting life—
better to keep your place content.
Interpretation
Pay no heed to idle, divisive gossip; everything has its fixed fate, and in the unseen, retribution never fails.
