Zhuge Oracle Lesson 384

Oracle Text

Not being Confucius or Yan Hui, few can be without fault,
but a fault that can be mended is as good as none;
the flowering is not to be relied on—
only the fruit is the true measure;
open wide your heart, and let your spirit be glad.

Interpretation

When you err, know to repent and change; in your work, always follow through; be broad-hearted—only then does life have meaning.
