Hard, and hard, and hard—
on level ground a sudden storm breaks out;
easy, and easy, and easy—
in ordinary talk and laughter, hope at last.

When luck is poor, you sit at home and disaster falls from the sky; when fortune turns favorable, everything goes your way and comes easily to hand.
